Daifuku Webb Holding Company completes acquisition of Wynright Corporation

Wynright will operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Daifuku Webb.

Daifuku Webb Holding Company (Daifuku Webb), a subsidiary of Daifuku Co., Ltd., announced it has completed the acquisition of Wynright Corporation (Wynright), which is headquartered in Elk Grove, Ill. Wynright will operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Daifuku Webb. Wynright is a leading integrator and provider of intelligent material handling systems.

“Wynright’s dedication to providing the best service and products to its customers will be a huge asset to the Daifuku Webb family,” said Brian Stewart, Chairman, President & CEO of Daifuku Webb Holding Company. “Daifuku has an enormous customer base for its highly-advanced Automated Storage & Retrieval Systems (AS/RS) in Asia and Europe. This acquisition expands our warehousing and distribution business in North America by greatly improving the advanced technologies and services we offer our clients.”

“We are excited to join Daifuku Webb and become part of the largest material handling company in the world,” said Kevin Ambrose, CEO of Wynright. “Wynright now has a strong financial, technical and strategic partner, which will enable us to fortify our commitment of delivering exceptional materials handling solutions, as well as providing one of the industry’s most respected product portfolios- including Daifuku’s top selling AS/RS - to our expanding and broad range of clients.”

Wynright designs, manufactures, integrates and installs a full-spectrum of warehouse and distribution center solutions, including conveyor and sortation systems, voice- and light-directed order fulfillment technology, a suite of warehouse controls and execution software, robotics, mezzanines, and structures. It has regional offices and manufacturing locations throughout the U.S.

The acquisition of Wynright fits into Daifuku’s new corporate management plan, Value Innovation 2017, which started in April 2013. The plan outlines the company’s goals of increasing sales and operating margin, as well as enhancing its role as a true value innovator that provides the best solutions for its customers.
