Interroll (Booth 8117) opened a new, 100,000-square-foot facility to manufacture dynamic storage, modules and subsystems used in distribution facilities throughout the Americas. Initially, the facility will employ 40 people in the Hiram, Georgia, area, with the anticipated total approaching 100 employees, said Tim McGill, president of North and South American operations.
“Our new facility will serve customers—including Coca-Cola, Delta Airlines, Procter & Gamble, Amazon, UPS and Frito-Lay—with market-focused product lines and engineering support,” McGill said.
The location was chosen in part because it provides direct access to Atlanta’s international airport and Savannah seaports, he added. “Its location positions the Interroll Hiram Regional Center of Excellence to quickly respond to customers and meet just-in-time inventory requirements.”
The facility is Interroll’s fourth location in the United States, joining plants in Wilmington, North Carolina; Jeffersonville, Indiana; and Cañon City, Colorado.
