U.S. Manufacturing Examined Under New Light
While United States-based manufacturing appears to have regained some momentum in recent months following an erratic stretch earlier in the year, a recent report from Panjiva contends that there's more than meets the eye when gauging the current state.
Panjiva, an online search engine with information on global suppliers and manufacturers, recently released a report titled “Manufacturing in the U.S.—Movement or Myth.”
The report surveyed more than 150 sourcing professionals to gauge factors impacting decisions made by companies to source goods from United States-based manufacturers.
According to the research, U.S.-based companies must emphasize rapid response time as they struggle to compete on costs.
