Panjiva, an online search engine with detailed information on global suppliers and manufacturers, recently announced it has added Mexican trade data to its proprietary platform.
Company officials said that Panjiva is accessing this data through a strategic partnership with JML International, a provider of Mexican Custom Statistics, which will enable Panjiva to offer its customers details on all shipments to and from Mexico via all types of transport, and also provide insight on more than 500,000 new suppliers and 200,000 new buyers.
“What we are trying to do with this is to provide more transparency about global trade,” Panjiva CEO Josh Green told LM. “We have for years been able to provide a lot of detail about trade into the United States and more recently we have been able to describe more about trade coming out of the United States.”
In April 2013, Panjiva rolled out a similar offering regarding China-based trade data.
