Power Automation Systems (PAS, Booth 1327) is showcasing its PowerStor automated storage and retrieval system, its PAS Voyager semi-automated deep lane pallet storage system, and the new PASWare 3.0, due to be released in August.
PowerStor is a patented cart-based AS/RS used for deep storage of palletized loads. The solution enables high storage density and high throughput of various size loads in small or odd-shaped facilities. Because each level uses its own cart, a 12-level system can move 12 pallets at any given time, according to Cory Hypes, executive VP of PAS.
“The benefits of simultaneous payload distribution are significant,” Hypes said. “The PowerStor can double storage capacity while achieving an ROI in as little as 18 months. We have one customer who uses a single employee to manage 8,900 pallet locations.”
PASWare 3.0 directs the PowerStor system to store and retrieve loads as well as allowing a manager to enter a 3D model of the system to diagnose, model or manually direct product movement. On a tablet, the software translates gestural drag-and-drop input into load transfer system commands.
Designed as an alternative to pushback, flow and drive-in racking systems, the PAS Voyager can store in lanes between five and 70 pallets deep. Scalable, the solution can double storage density while reducing the need for lift trucks.
