Softeon (Booth 3718) presented the latest release of WMS Cloud, its scalable Tier-1 warehouse management system (WMS). Unlike other software-as-a-service (SAAS) WMS products, full system functionality is accessible.
“We’ve engineered the internal architecture to address the performance challenges—such as speed, performance and functionality limitations—associated with cloud-based solutions,” said Dinesh Dongre, Softeon’s VP of strategy.
Although full functionality is available, the system’s modular construction enables users to purchase only the capabilities they need, he added.
“Companies ranging from operating a single basic facility to a complex supply chain can right-size their investment,” Dongre said, “starting with the footprint that meets their initial needs, then incrementally adding on as business demands change”
Noting that the fundamental goal of implementing a cloud-based solution is to minimize information technology (IT) investments, Dongre highlighted the solution’s industry-specific configuration and process templates that walk non-IT users through set-up. Attendees can see a demo of the solution, including sample user interactions, installation concepts and details about its architecture.
