TECSYS unveils enhanced software platform

Supply chain management software provider TECSYS (Booth 3872) announced its latest platform release at a Monday press conference, as well as a performance analytics and dashboard solution, Visual Metrics Performance Management Suite.

TECSYS’ Supply Chain Platform is a technology infrastructure on which all of TECSYS applications, which span warehouse and transportation logistics software, are built. The platform aims to help users excel in the complex, rapidly changing world of connected consumers, Internet of Things, and omni-channel fulfillment pressures, said Robert Colosino, VP of business development and marketing for TECSYS. Today’s supply chain execution (SCE) applications, he said, “must be on one platform, acting as one engine” to effectively adapt to these pressures.

Some of the key ways the platform supports these challenges, said Colosino, includes making the applications easier to adapt with user preferences and user-defined workflows, as well as by making SCE software more scalable. The platform also supports visual content and visual with voice instructions to make workers more efficient and accurate.

The new Visual Metrics suite provides visibility and tracking across multiple areas, including vendors and shipment performance, inventory and planning, warehouse performance and labor productivity, customer metrics, consumption trends, shipping costs and volumes, and finance trends. The aim of the suite is to deliver intuitive dashboards, best practice metrics, and easy to use analytics so that decision makers can understand cause and effect relationships and take appropriate actions.

ProMat 2015 is scheduled to be held March 23-26, 2014 at Chicago’s McCormick Place. The tradeshow will showcase the latest manufacturing, distribution and supply chain solutions in the material handling and logistics industry. Modern’s complete ProMat 2015 coverage.
