Xtreme RFID joins Reusable Packaging Association

Xtreme RFID manufactures rugged RFID tags that fully encapsulate RFID inlays in a one piece plastic housing to protect it from chemicals, water, impact, temperatures, and other unforgiving elements.

Xtreme RFID, a designer, engineer, and manufacturer of rugged RFID tags for harsh environments, has joined the Reusable Packaging Association. The company manufactures rugged RFID tags that fully encapsulate RFID inlays in a one piece plastic housing to protect it from chemicals, water, impact, temperatures, and other unforgiving elements.

“We manufacture and supply RFID tags for several reusable applications,” said Mike Lewis, Business Unit Leader at Xtreme RFID. “Being a member of the RPA will help us stay on top of trends and innovations in the industry, and develop opportunities for strategic relationships.”

“Xtreme RFID is a great addition to the association,” said Jerry Welcome, President, RPA. “Their tags and the reusable containers they track all need to withstand numerous trips through rigorous supply chains. Xtreme RFID tags are a good technology fit for the reusable packaging industry.”

Xtreme RFID customizes tags to meet customers’ exact requirements, including RF performance, footprint, environment, attachment method, encapsulation materials, and visual identification. Many reusable applications utilize the company’s Xtreme Duo tag.

Xtreme RFID is a division of Cascade Engineering based in Grand Rapids, MI. The company is comprised of 12 strategic business units supporting a wide diversity of markets including transportation, environmental services, renewable energy, office furniture, agriculture, polymers, water filtration, industrial material handling, and RFID.

Specializing in large scale plastic injection molding, Cascade Engineering is a global company with 1,200 employees located in 14 facilities throughout North America and Europe. As one of the largest certified “B” Corps in the world, Cascade Engineering is a nationally recognized proponent of sustainable business practices that emphasize the key role business can play in building financial, social, and environmental capital.
