Current Round of US-China Trade Talks Yield a Push for More Air Transport Amid Tension

As the US-China trade relationship remains strained and the trade gap between the two countries continues to widened, there is increasing focus on US-China bi-lateral trade talks. The round of negotiations currently underway is no exception. While much focus in the mainstream media is on China's continued insistence to restrict the movement of the Chinese Yuan, this round appears it will lead to more US-China flights for both air travel and air cargo. This will increase the flight options and flexibility and that's positive for US supply chain managers with whose domain reaches into China. See the full article.

Opening up airports to more regional and global carriers in China is a major plus for those importers or exporters wihin the United States, especially when we're talking about inland locations within China where only regional passanger flights are allowed. I would think that the local, regional and exuctive governements of China will oppose this as because it would mean taking funds from certain special financial districts such as Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing and transfer those funds to regions they aren't ready to develop into commericalized zones. Let me know where we can send out votes of approval on this.
