Score One for the Port of Dalian!

The port of Dalian (China's 7th largest) in the northeast corner of China just got a boost. On Thursday, the Dayaowan Bonded Harbor Area was awarded a tax-exempt status meaning that tariffs for foreign and domestic goods would be removed or lowered. This change is expected to increase the port's efficiency by 20% as it comes fully online. Dalian's close proximity to both the Korean peninsula and Japan mean that managing logistics between these countries will be getting easier (and cheaper!). See the full story.
