A service provider of online supply chain execution-focused software is seeing that their traffic is peaking in the middle of the night! The reason is that China supply chain professionals are raising the bar and focusing on execution in a more and more systematic fashion every day. See the article.
From our perspective on the ground in China, we see this trend as well. While there is still a major shortage of trained supply chain managers in China; with the increasing number of tools available and increased interaction with professionally run western firms; we're seeing real improvements across most, if not all, supply chain competencies.
