China's Recent Quality-related Issues

If you’ve been anywhere near a newspaper or a television over the last couple of months, you know that there has been significant coverage in the US on a handful of high profile quality issues from products made in China. In response to this, the Chinese government has just "declared war" on tainted products. Indeed China is a vast country and this type of response will take significant time and resources to yield meaningful results, but it is a meaningful step forward.
For logistics managers who work with Chinese companies and purchase Chinese goods, this new initiative should be follow-up closely and applauded. See the article for more details.
