Manufacturing in China not for Everyone

Manufacturing in China does not make sense for every company. Many companies have underestimated the logistics costs involved in manufacturing in China and have decided to bring their production back to their home country. With rising logistics costs, it makes it all the more important to have a team on the ground in China to evaluate the production and logistics costs and decide whether it makes sense to outsource. Absolutely. Due to rising fuel and increased labor costs, many companies are taking a hard look at maintaining product sourcing in China. We are beginning to see many US based companies look at alternative manufacturing locations based closer to the U.S. ie, Mexico. www.3plwire.com

China is not the answer for everyone, and it won't be the answer for ever. Everything that makes China attractive at this point, won't stay that way for ever. We always need to be evaluating our sources and methods to see if they still make sense. If we don't, our business will do so to us.
