UPS Freight, the less-than-truckload (LTL) subsidiary of UPS said this week it has improved transit times from Vancouver, British Columbia to 181 United States cities in the Midwest and Northeast.

As mounting evidence indicates that slow economic growth is prevalent, retail sales numbers released today were essentially flat in May compared to April and were up on an annual basis, according to data from the United States Department of Commerce and the National Retail Federation (NRF).

Diesel prices fell for the fifth consecutive week and the sixth time in the last seven weeks, decreasing 0.8 cents to $3.94 per gallon, according to the Department of Energy’s Energy Information Administration (EIA).
