As Washington prepares for yet another revision to the truck driver hours of service rules—and lawyers on both sides hunker down for what they say is yet another inevitable court fight—the battle lines are drawn.
Truck sizes and weights have largely been frozen at the federal level since 1993. Now the industry and a coalition of shipping interests are again testing the waters in Washington to see if now might be the time to take another look at that emotional and politically charged issue.

FedEx recently announced that its FedEx Express subsidiary has launched a new flight from Bengaluru, India with direct connections to Europe, the Middle East, and the United States. This is the company’s third India-based gateway—Delhi and Mumbai are the others.
