While negotiating teams representing employers at the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach meet with the International Longshore and Warehouse Union Local 63 Office Clerical Unit ("OCU") today, several key terminals at both ocean cargo gateways are shut down.
Carload volume—at 252,931—was down 4.6 percent annually, and intermodal volumes—at 194,538 trailers and containers—were up 1.9 percent annually.

Earlier this week, global third-party logistics (3PL) services provider CEVA Logistics reported third quarter earnings of $1.8 billion Euro or about $2.4 billion U.S., which represented a 5.1 percent annual gain.
