Late last week, Congress passed House passed the Airline Safety and Federal Aviation Administration Extension Act of 2010, which will extend FAA’s funding through September 30.
The Institute of Supply Management reported today manufacturing activity in July was basically flat compared to June.

Trucking tonnage saw its second decline since February, with the American Trucking Associations (ATA) reporting that its advance seasonally adjusted (SA) For-Hire Truck Tonnage Index decreased 1.4 percent in June.

Trade using surface transportation between the United States and its North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) partners Canada and Mexico was up 39.5 percent in May 2010 compared to May 2009, increasing to $66.8 billion, according to data released by the United States Department of Transportation’s Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS).
