The Department of Energy’s Energy Information Administration (EIA) reported this week that the average price per gallon of diesel gasoline dropped 7.6 cents to $3.137 per gallon, which puts diesel at its lowest level since it checked in at $3.116 per gallon the week of November 8, 2010.

A week ago, the average price per gallon of diesel gasoline saw its steepest decline in more than two years, when it fell 7 cents to $3.535. This week took that decline a step further, with the Department of Energy’s Energy Information Administration (EIA) reporting that the average price this week fell 11.6 cents to $3.419 per gallon.

The Department of Energy’s Energy Information Administration (EIA) reporting that the average price per gallon of diesel fell 7 cents to $3.535 for its steepest decline since the week of October 29, 2012, when it saw an 8.6 cent drop. What’s more, the average price per gallon is at its lowest level since the week of February 14, 2011, when it was at $3.534 per gallon.

This decline comes on the heels of the 3.3 cent drop last week and stands as the lowest average weekly price per gallon since the week of February 21, 2011, when it checked in at $3.573.
