Trucking and intermodal services bellwether J.B. Hunt (JBH) kicked off the first quarter earnings season in style with record net earnings of $50.1 million or $0.40 per share compared to net earnings of $37.5 million and $.029 per share a year ago.
<p>LOWELL, ARKANSAS, July 15, 2010 - J. B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc., (NASDAQ:JBHT) announced second quarter 2010 net earnings of $52.1 million, or diluted earnings per share of 40 cents vs. second quarter 2009 earnings of $24.0 million, or 19 cents per diluted share.</p> By Jeff Berman · July 16, 2010
Steady economic improvement throughout the course of the second quarter paved the way for an excellent performance for trucking and intermodal services provider J.B. Hunt.
