ODFL is calling for an annual increase tons per day in the 18.0 percent-to-18.5 percent range compared to the third quarter of 2013, which is up from its previously disclosed range of 17.0 percent-to-18.0 percent.

The Thomasville, North Carolina-based carrier with the sector’s lowers operating ratio said is revenue per hundredweight, excluding fuel surcharges, for the second quarter, is now in a projected range of 3.0 percent to 3.5 percent over the second quarter of 2013 and from a previous forecast of 2.0 percent to 2.5 percent.

Less-than-truckload (LTL) transportation services provider Old Dominion Freight Line (ODFL) said this week it has relocated its Wytheville, Virginia service center to a larger facility as part of the company’s ongoing national expansion efforts.

Less-than truckload (LTL) transportation services provider Old Dominion Freight Line (ODFL) announced today it plans to increase is rates for non-contractual freight in the form of a 4.9 percent general rate increase, effective July 1.
