By now, you have probably seen the most recent batch of numbers from the Commerce Department regarding the trade deficit. In short, the data pretty much represents an ongoing trend. Commerce said that the international trade deficit increased 5.9 percent in December 2010, to $40.6 billion, up from $38.3 billion in November. And exports grew 1.8 percent, to $163.0 billion, and imports rose 2.6 percent, to $203.5 billion.Posted on 02/11 at 01:13 PM

In a sign that the White House’s push to increase United States export activity is gaining some traction, data released by the Department of Commerce stated that total October exports of $158.7 billion and imports of $197.4 billion resulted in a goods and services deficit of $38.7 billion.Posted on 12/10 at 01:06 PM
