Global logistics services provider and freight forwarder C.H. Robinson Worldwide Inc. (CHRW) recently announced it set up shop with a new office in Innsbruck, Austria.
CHRW said this office will serve as a “key step in developing the Austrian market as well as improving and expanding the C.H. Robinson office network across Europe” and will be concentrated on European road transportation.
“C.H. Robinson consistently evaluates our office network as well as customer and carrier demand to identify where the company might open the next office,” said Bryan Foe, president of C.H. Robinson Europe, in an interview. “The Innsbruck office is our first in Austria and in one of the strongest economic areas within the European Union where customers and carriers are looking for companies like C.H. Robinson to help with their supply chains. Customers and carriers located in the region will benefit from a more personal level of attention while having access to C.H. Robinson’s global portfolio of services.”
Chucko Beslic, a nine-year transportation veteran, will oversee efforts for the new office, according to CHRW.
Foe said the office is staffed with 5 employees who handle customer and carrier account management.
In the last four months, C.H. Robinson has opened offices in Basel, Switzerland and Innsbruck, Austria. Foe added that the company remains committed to Europe and will continually evaluate opportunities for office openings that make sense not only based on our company needs but also customer and carrier demand.
