Wynright names Joe Hutter President, Engineering and Integration, Elk Grove Division

Supply chain veteran to oversee sales strategy and engineering for automated materials handling industry.

Wynright Corporation, a leading independent, U.S.-based provider of intelligent material handling systems, has announced the appointment of Joe Hutter to President, Engineering and Integration, for its Elk Grove Division.

Hutter, a 24-year veteran at Wynright, will be responsible for leading sales and integration strategy, engineering and project management, and the delivery of integrated automated materials handling solutions for the Elk Grove Division. In addition to automating warehouse and distribution centers, Hutter and the Elk Grove Division have a history of success in analyzing and automating various business processes relevant to the manufacturing sector. Wynright’s Elk Grove division is part of the company’s regional engineering and integration network, which also operates in Indiana, California and Oak Lawn, Illinois.

Hutter joined Wynright in 1989 in regional sales and later became project manager for the company’s Automotion conveyor and sortation systems business unit. Most recently he served as Vice President of Business Development, focusing on expanding systems solutions for distribution centers and e-fulfillment distribution channels.

“It is always gratifying when we can promote from within, especially for such a prominent position,” said Kevin Ambrose at Wynright Corporation. “Joe has demonstrated a high level of value to Wynright clients throughout his tenure at the company. He knows the intralogistics and materials handling industry, as well as our organization, thoroughly. His contributions have been immediate and long-lasting. His career path from engineering and project management through sales and sales management has given him a solid foundation for solving a wide range of client challenges. We are confident that he has the strategic vision and leadership skills to help our more than 200 engineers continue to deliver industry-leading materials handling solutions, and to keep us in front of the changes in the rapidly-evolving supply chain industry so we can continue to bring exceptional value to our clients.”

Hutter holds an MBA from Babson College, and is a graduate of St. Mary’s University, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. He currently resides in the Chicago area.
