Following ten consecutive weeks of declines, the national average price per gallon for diesel gasoline saw an increase this week, according to data issued by the Department of Energy’s Energy Information Administration (EIA).
With a 0.094-cent increase, the national diesel average price per gallon is $3.081 per gallon. This follows recent declines of 0.016 cents, 0.007 cents, 0.011 cents, 0.021 cents, 1.0-cents, 0.07-cents, and 0.004.
The national diesel average has risen three times in the last 18 weeks. And over the ten-week period from the week of July 15 to September 16, the diesel average dropped a cumulative 6.4 cents.
On an annual basis, this week’s average is down 19 cents.
West Texas Intermediate Crude oil is currently trading at $57.76 per barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
