InfinityQS fulfills $1-million pledge to support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

Global authority on manufacturing intelligence reaches goal in five years instead of 10 to help fund research, cures for pediatric cancer and other deadly diseases.

InfinityQS International, Inc., a global authority on real-time quality and manufacturing intelligence, has announced the fulfillment of its $1-million pledge to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, which is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other deadly diseases.

A longtime supporter of St. Jude, InfinityQS committed in 2009 to donating $1 million within 10 years and was able to accelerate its philanthropic schedule to fulfill its commitment within five years.

To commemorate the company’s support, St. Jude has named the international virology lab of Richard J. Webby, Ph.D., in honor of InfinityQS. Dr. Webby is a member of the St. Jude Department of Infectious Diseases and director of the World Health Organization Collaborating Center for Studies on the Ecology of Influenza in Animals and Birds.

In 2013, InfinityQS received the Cardinal Stritch Donor of the Year Award, which recognizes a donor whose commitment reflects the vision and leadership of St. Jude founder Danny Thomas’ spiritual mentor, Samuel Cardinal Stritch, the Catholic archbishop of Chicago. InfinityQS has also sponsored and participated in three of the hospital’s annual St. Jude Memphis Marathon Weekend fundraisers.

“We are deeply appreciative to InfinityQS for the support they have provided St. Jude to help find cures and save children with cancer and other deadly diseases,” said Richard Shadyac, Jr., CEO of ALSAC/St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. “We are honored to recognize their generous $1-million gift with the naming of our international virology lab which will help to further our mission of helping some of the world’s sickest children.”

Michael Lyle, president and CEO, InfinityQS, said, “At InfinityQS, we approach success with a commitment to do well while doing good. The fulfillment of our $1-million donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital represents that mission, and we are incredibly proud that our philanthropic efforts have contributed to an organization that does such critical work to prevent and cure deadly diseases in children.”

Charitable donations from companies like InfinityQS have helped St. Jude make tremendous strides in discovering new cures for children afflicted by disease. Because of funding from contributors, patient families never receive a bill from the hospital for treatment, travel, housing or food, and St. Jude has the freedom to focus on what matters most – saving children’s lives, regardless of their financial situation.
