Interroll (Booth 2603) will unveil the prototype of its new Spiral Lift concept, and present its latest lineup of Crossbelt Sorters at ProMat 2015.
Interroll’s sorters operate on a mostly mechanical basis, keeping electronic components to a minimum. The main drives work with up to 90 percent efficiency, offering as much as 50 percent energy savings compared with other systems.
The simple, modular design of Interroll’s Crossbelt Sorter makes initial installation and relocation or reconfiguration of an existing system easy, with minimal down-time and labor requirements. The system is versatile; able to safely handle a wide range of items - from eggs or wine glasses to heavier goods such as 55-pound sacks of dog food. Depending on throughput rates, performance targets and the amount of room available, customers can choose from a horizontal configuration (circular layout) or vertical configuration (linear layout).
“At Interroll we understand that sorting operations are often mission-critical for business. Companies like UPS, FedEx, Amazon and many other major postal companies around the globe rely on Interroll Crossbelt Sorters in their daily operations,” said Tim McGill, President of Interroll North and South America.
The new, soon-to-be-launched Spiral Lift will offer the optimum solution for fast and efficient, continuous vertical movement of product. After customer feedback on the prototype, the Spiral Lift will be developed to serve numerous applications, such as industrial, manufacturing and publishing operations, airline terminals, warehouses and food processing plants. Existing models of Portec Spiral Lifts are already frequently used for incline and decline applications in conveyor lines that run 24/7. They are ideal anywhere floor space is at a premium and reliability is a requirement.
