Right-sizing automated storage solutions is the emphasis at Kardex Remstar (Booth 9323), where a new Shuttle XP vertical lift module and two new Megamat RS vertical carousels were introduced in a press conference on Monday.
“There’s been an increased demand from both manufacturing and warehousing operations to expand our storage solution’s capacity with the products it holds,” explained Chelsea Tarr, marketing communications coordinator.
For that reason, said Tarr, the company engineered a fourth Shuttle XP model that can accommodate goods weighing up to 2,205 pounds (1,000 kilograms) per tray. “The super strong tray provides simple, ergonomic storage of heavy tools, large goods or even more small parts,” she noted.
Likewise, the Megamat RS—which previously came only in a medium-duty model—now offers handling for light (396 pounds per carrier), medium (772 pounds per carrier) and heavy (1,433 pounds per carrier) payloads.
“By expanding our offerings to handle a variety of different types of loads, we can provide customers with the most cost-effective option that best suits their unique handling needs,” added Tarr.
