UniCarriers Americas expands technical service program

UniCarriers University’s College of Technical Service program for 2016 to include updated certification program.

UniCarriers Americas Corporation (UCA) expanded its UniCarriers University’s College of Technical Service program for 2016.

The program will continue to be curriculum-based along with a number of enhancements, including:
● The introduction of the “2016 Certification Program” curriculum, which augments the current 2014 certification program
● Changes to special package pricing for online training to offer more dealers the opportunity to participate in cost savings with the option to cover all re-certification training expenses
● A three-day, live “General Parts Personnel” course to cover all aspects of working in a parts department
● Continued expansion from UCA’s technical training team to support development of new course materials and hands-on training

“UniCarriers Americas understands the importance of offering top-notch training to your organization,” said Joshua Landreman, senior manager of product support at UCA. “Having a highly skilled staff of technicians is the foundation to a dealership’s profitability, customer loyalty and reliability.”

Launched in 2012, UniCarriers University’s mission is to create a state-of-the-art educational platform that establishes UCA’s service technicians and salespeople as the most highly skilled and knowledgeable material handling equipment representatives in the industry.

The curriculum-based program for the College of Technical Service offers three certification levels of achievement – Apprentice, Journeyman and Master Technician. The programs are designed to build on the knowledge base of each technician, and technicians can achieve certifications through a mix of online training, classroom instruction and ASE certification.
