WERC announces two Midwest seminars

“Managing and Improving Warehouse Operations” and “Maximizing Warehouse Space” speak to today’s concerns—getting the most productivity out of what you already have.

The Warehousing Education and Research Council (WERC) has announced two Midwest seminars for this fall. “Managing and Improving Warehouse Operations” is scheduled for
October 25-26 in Kansas City, MO and “Maximizing Warehouse Space” will be held in Chicago, November 8-9.

“As the recognized leader in education and research for the warehouse, distribution and logistics industry, WERC focuses on advancing the art and science of warehousing/distribution and driving the warehouse profession to new levels,” Michael Mikitka, WERC CEO, told Modern.

Toward that goal, these seminars are important to industry professionals because they address topics that speak to today’s industry concerns and constraints—getting the most productivity out of what you already have. According to Mikitka, both events are particularly valuable to supervisors looking to move up the ladder and managers who want new ideas because they offer a review of all of the elements that go into making sound warehousing decisions.

While “Managing and Improving Warehouse Operations” and “Maximizing Warehouse Space” are on the two latest seminars to be added to the schedule, Mikitka explained, WERC considers all of the fundamental warehousing topics as well as ‘hot’ issues when setting up educational programs—seminars, webcasts, online courses and conferences. When it comes to planning, he said, “We are always glad to hear from practitioners. They are our audience and our members.”
