Caine provided Berman with an overview of various topics pertaining to chemical shippers, including:

  • the impact of the ongoing port labor issues out of Canada;
  • the current state of ocean container freight rates in the chemical sector; and 
  • CLX Logistics' new Houston-based office opening

Matt Caine is CLX’s Vice President of Sales & Marketing for North America and manages the company’s newest office in Houston, TX. A process-driven professional and dynamic team leader, Matt brings more than 16 years of experience in various sectors of the logistics and supply chain industry to the company.

Prior to joining CLX Logistics, Matt launched his career in the oil and gas sector where he managed critical export operations for several leading downstream companies. Since then, Matt has worked for such companies as DHL, Leschaco, Steam Logistics, and Yusen Logistics, gaining first-hand management experience in logistics and international and domestic operations and sales, with a focus on renewable energy, chemicals, retail, and several other commodities.

Matt has also been active with several industry-leading organizations including Houston Chemical Association, International Transportation Management Association (ITMA), and more. Matt and his wife currently live in Houston with their son and daughter.

Mr. Caine earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of Houston.
