OnTrac announces service expansion into three key U.S. markets

Vienna, Va.-based e-commerce parcel carrier OnTrac said earlier this month it has expanded its transcontinental delivery service to three sort centers in Las Vegas, Nevada and Reno, Nevada, and Nashville, Tennessee.

This expansion follows the company’s 2022 rollout of a new transcontinental delivery service, which they said is focused on helping retailers reach consumers in the nation’s most populated regions with faster and more reliable home delivery at a cheaper cost, while connecting the companies East and West Coast delivery footprints to move packages from coast to coast in three days (in some cases).

OnTrac said that expansion was driven by customer feedback, as well as increased demand from a combination of omnichannel retailers and direct-to-consumer brands for an alternative carrier with speed, cost-savings, flexibility, service, and national coverage. What’s more, it added that the company’s transcontinental service reaches up to 80% of the U.S. population across 31 states and Washington, D.C.

“We have been blown away by the rapid adoption of our transcontinental delivery service and the positive feedback we’ve received from our retail partners since launching one year ago,” said Josh Dinneen, Chief Commercial Officer of OnTrac, in a statement. “This overwhelming response reflects the growing need for a proven alternative to the duopoly. We are excited to expand our coast-to-coast service and open three additional lanes to further empower retailers with faster delivery, cost-savings, top-notch service, and nationwide scale.”

Earlier this summer, OnTrac announced it has formally expanded into Texas.

This followed its Texas-based expansion plan, which was rolled out in August 2022, with a focus on what it called the “fast-growing megaregion of Austin, Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, and San Antonio, with the Dallas-Fort Worth facility to function as the major Texas-based sort hub, reaching 19 million new consumers through faster residential e-commerce delivery services.
